How to play Four in a Row
Taking turns
- Players alternate dropping one disc into any column that is not full.
- A disc falls to the lowest empty slot in that column.
- You cannot skip a turn or move a disc once it has landed.
Winning
- The first player to connect four of their discs in a straight line wins.
- Lines can run horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
- If the board fills with no four in a row, the game is a draw.
Strategy tips
- Control the center columns — they open the most winning lines.
- Watch for threats in every direction, not just the column you are eyeing.
- Sometimes the best move blocks your opponent instead of building your own line.
