Tile Rummy — play online free with friends
Lay runs and groups, rework the table, empty your rack first.
If you know the classic Rummikub, you already know the idea — Tile Rummy is TableTop's original take on the same style of game, free to play online.
Lay tiles from your rack onto the table in valid runs and groups. Empty your rack to win the round and score the points your opponents still hold — first to the target score wins the match.

How to play Tile Rummy
The tiles
- 106 tiles: numbers 1–13 twice in each of four colors, plus 2 jokers.
- Each player starts with 14 tiles on their rack, hidden from everyone else.
Valid melds
- Group: 3 or 4 tiles of the same number in different colors.
- Run: 3 or more consecutive numbers in a single color.
Your first move
- Your opening play must use only tiles from your own rack and be worth 30+ points (tiles count face value).
- Until you've opened, you can't add to or rearrange melds already on the table.
Your turn
- Play at least one tile from your rack. You may rearrange the whole table to make it work, as long as every meld is still valid when you finish.
- If you can't (or don't want to) play, draw a tile from the pool and your turn ends.
- If the timer runs out before you commit a move, you draw automatically.
Jokers
- A joker stands in for any tile and scores as the tile it represents.
- A joker left on your rack at the end costs you 30 penalty points.
Turn timer
- The host picks the per-turn limit (1, 2 or 3 minutes) in the lobby before starting.
Winning
- Emptying your rack wins the round: you score every point still held on the other racks (jokers count 30).
- If the pool is dry and everyone passes, the lowest rack wins the round the same way — a tied count scores nothing.
- The next round redeals everything with the round winner starting. The first player to reach the target score picked in the lobby wins the match (or play a single round).
